Boys Volleyball started off their season 0-2, but not without putting up a fight against two of the county’s top teams! • The boys kicked off the year against Long Beach, who beat the boys last year in the County semifinals. After losing the first two sets of the revenge game, they battled back two win the next two to tie up the game. The final set went down to the wire, ending in a 15-13 loss. Christian Rafferty had 14 kills and 3 blocks, Dylan Epstein had 39 assists and 10 digs, and Matthew Pierre Louis had 12 kills and a pair of aces. • Today, they matched up against the reigning county champions, Massapequa. They fell down early again, losing the first set, but again the game would come down to the final set.
