This past week, Port Baseball added a pair of tough losses against Hicksville which sits them at 2-8 on the season. The team fought hard in both games look to win all four games (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri) next week. - The boys opened up on Tuesday at Hicksville. The game was a game full of pitching and defense. The Vikings struggled at the plate against Division I Stony Brook-commit J.C. Kiss but were held within striking distance with Michael Andrew on the hill. The lefty junior went 4.2 innings allowing only 2 runs and striking out 5. Will Chu came in relief finishing the game with 4 Ks in 1.1 innings. Port fell short, 2-0. - Game two at the Port Turf began in favor of Hicksville with two early runs. Port didn’t manage to score until a solo home run from Dan Alexander to right-center field in the second inning.
