This season, the Port Girls Varsity Soccer team was the AA2 Conference Champion for the regular season! The girls had an undefeated regular season, led in scoring by Kaeleigh Romero and Emily Bersin. Kaeleigh had 8 goals and 7 assists on the year, while Emily had 7 goals and 2 assists. • In their playoff matchup against the Massapequa Chiefs, the girls would start strong, down 1-0 at the half. In the second, though, they would allow 3 more and would be shut out. Goalie Ribecca Sperry had many great saves throughout the game, but it would not be enough to win. Great effort and perseverance was shown from the team. • Seniors Sara Lubanski, Lily Dell, Erin Steincke, Ribecca Sperry, Abbey Gilsenan, and Daniella Giaramita all will be ending their Schreiber soccer careers on a high note, winning the conference in a perfect season.
