Next up in our Senior Spotlight is RPI Baseball commit, Derek Livingston (dereklivingston3)! - Livingston, a pitcher, has played on Port Washington’s Varsity baseball team since sophomore year. He even got a good amount of action in for the varsity squad at the end of his freshman season. From the start, he was a major piece in Port’s pitching staff. - As a sophomore, Livingston was a stronghold of the rotation. He continuously shut down big-time hitters and was constantly enthusiastic on the mound, always staying calm, cool, and collected. His biggest game of the year came in the quarterfinals against Plainview. In the game, Livingston stayed cool during inning after inning of high stress situations in a game that took two days to complete. The Vikings unfortunately were not able to walk away victorious despite Livingston’s valiant effort.
