With his golázo against Scotland yesterday, Chicago Fire’s Xherdan Shaqiri set two records.
He became the first player to score in the Euros while playing for a team in either North or South America.
Shaqiri is also the only player to score in each of the last three Euros and World Cups.
He has three goals five games this year for Switzerland. He’s played 233 minutes.
In comparison, he only has two goals for Chicago Fire this year in 12 games so far. He’s played 745 minutes.
Earlier this month, the 32-year-old admitted he wants to return to Europe.
Shaqiri is currently earning over $8 million a year in Chicago as a DP. He’s one of the highest paid players in MLS.
