50 years ago, the game changed for good. 50 years ago, women's athletics started an upward trajectory. 50 years ago, #TitleIX opened doors for women across this country. Today, we reflect on the importance of Title IX for women who share the same dreams as we do. Former usa_wlax stars like Kelly Amonte Hiller and Josie Harper took a look back at the legislation that paved the way for them and many other women to reach the pinnacle of lacrosse. They became pioneers that inspired us to compete at a high level. Now, it’s our turn to inspire the next generation of women’s lacrosse stars. The playing field has not always been equal, but we’re continuing to push for gender equity in our sport and beyond.
