If you’re in NYC, you don’t want to miss this! ➡️ An 825-pound statue of soccer legend and @uswnt player @alexmorgan13 made its way into New York City’s Fox Square (Sixth Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets) this week. The 20-foot tall statue of Morgan wearing her U.S. uniform and holding a World Cup trophy is making its rounds on a national tour as the 2023 @fifawomensworldcup gets under way. The statue, made of reinforced and hard coated foam and 3D-printed resin for the head and trophy, was erected in honor of Morgan and her impact on the USWNT by Fox Sports, and to promote the network’s coverage of the World Cup beginning for the U.S. team on July 22nd against Vietnam (which you can actually watch on Friday, July 21st at 9:00 PM EDT) ⚽️🏟️🤩 Photos by Michael M.
