Today, we are highlighting @GoldenGateNPS as our #PrideParkSite of the week! During WWII, rejection from military service based on sexuality made headlines. #LGBTQ+ veterans rallied to overcome these obstacles and launch LGBTQ rights movements in #SanFrancisco and nationwide. These incredible individuals continued to serve our nation in times of conflict and crisis, founded vital organizations, and ensured their legacies endured. Their independence, activism, spirit, and resilience have driven forward the causes that matter most to the LGBT community, both on and off military bases. #LGBTQ #Pride #PrideMonth #LGBTQHeritage #June #Philadelphia #IndependenceNHP #NationalParkService #ParkSite #LGBTQHistory #NationalParks #ParksForAll #CelebrateDiversity #LGBTQStories 📸: @NationalParkTrust Images: Photos from our stewardship event with @StelAndMar earlier this year
