*when the science hits you* .. This is becoming a fun tradition - Check out the 2nd STEM fair I've helped host before my Ada Lace book signing! 👩🏻‍🔬👨🏾‍🔬 Things get messy. It's amazing. Every once in a while someone will tell me their theory that "maybe girls are just not interested in science, maybe that's why there's a gap." Those people have never actually seen young girls around science. (Or seen the studies on this topic). There's not an interest-problem for women in STEM. There's a welcoming problem. .. Days like this give meaning to what I do. Thanks to all the parents/guardians who brought their kids to a STEM fair on a Sunday. Curious kids first need support at home.
