Happy #NationalBookLoversDay!📚 I'm here with my friend Tristan showing off my Ada Lace book in jetblue's #SoarWithReading Vending Machines - these vending machines are scattered throughout the Bay Area and provide NEW books to kids FOR FREE. 📚 Today I went to the public library to read to local kids and was reminded the value that public libraries give to communities. Public libraries offer more than books 📚 They're safe spaces with access to Internet. They offer free classes on how to become a Maker or video editor. They offer financial literacy training and job search assistance. They're a valuable part of a healthy, high-functioning society. So, I'm happy that my tax dollars go to support them. 📚 jetblue partnered with simonkids to distribute 100,000 new books across the Bay area to help make sure all kids have a book they can call their own.
