Mini review time! Hissho Sushi (maker of sushi sold in stores like Target, Sprouts, Giant, Meijer, and Stop & Shop) partnered with Fly By Jing to make a Sichuan Chili Crisp California Roll! And we tried it! While you won't mistake it for anything but grocery store sushi it is GOOD grocery store sushi. The krab salad in the roll is creamy. The avocado is fresh. And the chili crisp adds an awesome crunch. It's not super spicy, but the heat builds as you eat. We wish it was just a bit spicier and had more of that Sichuan pepper flavor.
