Have you heard about that “potato book?” Mary Ann Shaffer ’56, who sadly passed away in 2008, is the author of “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.” Shaffer spent 20 years researching the topic of her book which takes place on an English Channel island near the French coast just after World War II.
