On National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we remember and honor Francis Daniel Stegna, a student who left Miami University after the attack on Pearl Harbor to join the United States Army Air Corps in 1943 and was killed during training flights. Francis entered Miami University in 1939. During his time at Miami, he designed and built AM and shortwave radios. His career plan was to be an electrical engineer after he graduated. Though he never had a chance to celebrate American victory in World War II, his courage and loyalty to his country will never be forgotten. #LoveandHonor #NationalPearlHarborRemembranceDay #MiamiOHAlum
