Dr Hayley Squance, a specialist in technical large animal rescue (TLAR), recently presented an outline of emergency management best practice to a local group of vets and Fire and Emergency NZ representatives. Dr Peter Gillespie and Laurence Hanrahan took the opportunity to demo the horse ambulance, which we hope will be useful for TLAR scenarios across the country in future.
