On Saturday night, trainer Pip Wakelin and her family lost their home bred 'people's horse' Ready I Am, as a result of a race accident at Addington Raceway. While there was no coming back from the injury, the Wakelins were grateful for how Laurence Hanrahan, manager of the Canterbury horse ambulance, and the crash crew handled the incident with dignity.
