The Trust is seeking a driver/operator for its ambulance based in Palmerston North, operating across the lower North Island (Taranaki to Hastings and south to Wellington/Wairarapa). The responsibilities include: Taking the ambulance to all harness and thoroughbred race meetings, thoroughbred trials, occasional equestrian sports events, and occasional transport of sick or injured horses to or from surgery; Safely operating the ambulance to recover injured horses in conjunction with veterinarians and racing/sport horse officials; and Keeping the ambulance clean and tidy and maintaining the ambulance and towing vehicle to a quality standard. The Trust meets all the running costs of the ambulance and will pay the person concerned a monthly amount.
