What’s so special about Tonto Natural Bridge? Well, a lot, but let’s start with this- it is believed to be the world’s largest *travertine* bridge. Most natural bridges are made of sandstone or limestone but this bridge is travertine 🤩. One of my favorite things about tontonaturalbridgestatepark is the accessibility! There are multiple viewpoints so people with limited mobility or tired parents pushing a stroller can still get an amazing experience and view the bridge. For my hikers, you have 4 trail options: 🥾 Pine Creek Trail- a gorgeous hike along/through the creek. 1/2 mile. 🥾Anna Mae Trail- easiest in my opinion. 500 feet. 🥾Gowan Trail- 2200 feet and best for kids. Benches along the way for the steep trek up. 🥾Waterfall Trail-easiest waterfall hike you’ll ever do. 300 feet long.
