I usually load Teddy up straight from the ground like this but another good option if you have an SUV is to: -Loosen hip and arm straps -Load kiddo on ground -Lift kiddo to the cargo space of SUV as a resting spot -Sit and position yourself up against the pack at the back of car -Put pack on like any other backpack -Stand up a and immediately get the hip belt and sternum strap secured -Tighten all Straps -Go hike with a kiddo on your back!
