Former Player living the dream in Germany kaylacampero ・・・ Hockey has given me the most amazing opportunities. When I started playing hockey I was only 4 or 5, and obviously didn’t realize how the sport would shape my life. I grew up playing in the same rink from when I was 4 until I graduated from Choate. I played in the Choate rink for the local Wallingford boys’ team when the floorboards were rotten wood and it was warmer outside than inside. It was such a cool experience to go to Choate and be playing at the new rink, but also the same place I had learned to skate. It wasn’t really until high school that I realized how much hockey can influence your life and the path you take. I am so thankful for the places hockey has taken me. Without it, I wouldn’t have ended up at Choate or UConn, and I most certainly wouldn’t be in Germany right now. Currently, I’m living a dream.
