After the World Trade Center collapsed on September 11, 2001, more than 10,000 emergency workers heeded the call for help; 300 of those heroes were dogs. Cowboy, a FEMA certified border collie was one of them....I post this picture every year on this day but I have never explained my feelings about it. I’m so grateful for those that rush in when everyone else is rushing out. And I’m amazed and so thankful for the selfless heroes that show up to help in the wake of tragedy.
