Congrats to USD softball's Taylor Spence being named WCC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. Spence hit .625 (10-for-16) to help the Toreros go 4-1 at the Gaucho Classic II in Santa Barbara, Calif. Spence got at least one hit in every game over the weekend, highlighted by two games with three hits. The speedy outfielder also scored five runs and had two stolen bases; she now has a WCC-best 14 swiped bags on the year. Spence also leads the Toreros with a .398 average on the season.
