This month at Bow Seat, we are celebrating Pride Month with Jeremy’s inspiring about #PrideInOcean 🌈 Jeremy says, Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to work in ocean conservation around the world—from Madagascar and Indonesia to the United States. In many of these places, friends and colleagues could not be out due to stigma or safety concerns. With my privilege, I have the opportunity to live out and be proud, and increase representation of the LGBTQIA+ community in ocean conservation and planetary health. Hopefully, this will show youth that no matter your identity, there is a place for you. It’s important to recognize that environmental and social justice issues are deeply interconnected. The more we work towards a just and equitable world, the more we will be able to come together to solve the greatest environmental challenges of our time.
