Additionally, its exhibits include materials on the immigration of Filipinos to the United States from the Western Americana Collection, as well as pictorial materials from the Pictorial Collections, according to Corliss Lee, an instruction librarian at Doe Library. According to Lee, the idea was born when graduate student Alex Mabanta and campus staff Dr. Fritzie de Mata were organizing events for Filipino History Month in October.
