Doreth Williams, 95, worked at the Bloorview Children’s Hospital as the head nurse on “Unit C” from 1976 until her retirement in 1988. She looks back on those days with incredible fondness:
“We didn’t just care for the physical needs of the infant and pre-school children we cared for. We also focused on their emotional needs and helped children bond with their parents.
Something as simple as picking a child up after bathing them and saying ‘I love you.’"
