A rally at the Iowa State Capitol Monday was part of the Women's March to continue the fight for reproductive rights and comes just days before the Iowa Supreme Court is expected to decide whether the state can enforce its "fetal heartbeat" law that bans abortions after about six weeks, before most women know they are pregnant. Protestors on Capitol grounds joined many across the nation who also held demonstrations on the two-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade — the landmark case that for a half century declared the constitutional right to abortion. Some carried signs that read: "Keep your policies off my body," "Bans off bodies" and "Girls just wanna have fundamental rights." Others held up a white banner that sent another clear message: "Women's rights are human rights." Tap the link in our bio for more on this story. #Iowa #IApolitics #IAgov #abortion
