Still green. The orange-clad Houston Dynamo kicked off their season at home against RSL over the weekend. Last year, they finished dead last in the West, but a new MLS season is always a chance to reboot and surprise the rest of the league, even before the start of the 90. The pregame tailgate had it all: fans, freestyle performers, and Jake from the Bachelorette on DJ Duty. Yes, what a crossover. Unfortunately, there weren’t any big surprises with the result on their opening day. The 0-0 score reflected perfectly what happened on the field. Houston kept possession, RSL locked up the midfield, and neither team did enough to find the back of the net. For the Dynamo, their scoring woes continue after having finished second-to-last in goals scored last year.
