MLS Cup? Completed it. Today, NYCFC players wake up as MLS Cup Champions, bringing the first cup home in team history. No stadium, no problem; last night they put on a worthy performance at one of the most iconic grounds this country has to offer. The return of Castellanos wouldn’t have been complete without a goal, and he delivered. 0-1 for nearly sixty minutes, until Felipe Mora decided that he wanted to play for another half hour. Tic, toc, penalties. Sean Johnson was having none of that though. Two saves right off the bat, and put none other than Alex Callens in prime position to seal the deal yet again. And he did. Three playoff games away from home, two finals, one star over the badge secured. Hats off to
@nycfc, your 2021 MLS Cup Champions.
