In the second installment of our #DefenderOfTheDen series, meet Segundo Paredes, a member of the Facilities Management team at our New York City campus. Paredes' journey to New York Tech began nearly 22 years ago, on September 13, 1999, after a former supervisor recommended him for work as a cleaner at New York Tech. As a Defender of the Den, Paredes' day-to-day duties include various cleaning and disinfecting responsibilities and ensuring that New York Tech is adhering to New York's COVID-19 protocols—work he thoroughly enjoys! As he reflects on the impact that New York Tech has had on his life, he is proud to say that two of his kids attend the university. His daughter, Genesis, graduated in 2020 with a degree in business administration; son Brian is currently studying health sciences. Thank you, Segundo Paredes, for your efforts in keeping us safe!
