Meet student-leader Alexis O'Rourke (orourke.alexis), who is passionate about architecture and inspiring young women on campus. During her time at New York Tech, she's created two organizations to help meet students' needs and to facilitate change on campus. Get to know more about her below:

Q: Who do you wear a mask for?
A: I wear a mask for my family. My aunt and uncle who are in their 70s who I love dearly. I want to make sure I am doing my part to keep them safe!
Q: Why did you choose this major?
A: I choose architecture because I want to help people. I want to make visually pleasing and functional spaces that fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act (handicap accessibility) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design guidelines!
