Both sides scored within the opening ten minutes of play, and the 1-1 scoreline would not move through regulation and extra time. In the penalty shootout, Orlando City goalkeeper @pedrogallese1 was shown a second yellow card, forcing defender Rodrigo Schlegel into goal. Schlegel would ultimately make the game-winning save, helping Orlando edge out NYCFC 6-5 in penalties. After such a dramatic victory early in the playoffs, Orlando will hope to carry that momentum into the next round.
