With the rise of the 4-3-3 formation, and with it the surge of the 10/8 hybrid midfielder, there’s less and less true number 10s these days. When will we see another Zidane, Riquelme, Ronaldinho, or a Cruyff. Probably never. Still, from time to time, you catch glimpses of that old magic in players today. Even if it’s less than an ounce of what some 10s used to do back in the day. There’s nothing better than seeing a 10 break lines on his own with grace and skill.
