Today is the 20th anniversary of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of 10 aircrew members, which included Maj Paul Soomsawasdi, TSgt Martin Tracy, and TSgt Chris Matero. #Talon13 Maj Soomsawasdi was known for his natural athletic abilities, which helped him earn Rookie of The Year for his pentathlon team during a reserve officer military pentathlon competition. TSgt Tracy was an invaluable asset to the Army Special Forces while deployed to Afghanistan as he regularly participated in ground combat operations to identify and attack Taliban forces. TSgt Matero was among the initial units called to active duty after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
