SrA Caleb Heidelberg, assigned to the 22d Expeditionary #SpecialTactics Squadron, and his reconnaissance team were ambushed during a patrol #OTD in 2008. Heidelberg, aware of the dire circumstances, positioned his vehicle to cover his wounded teammates and then stationed himself forward to suppress the enemy. In recognition of this day he was awarded the #SilverStar for his bravery. #Hero
