Tomorrow, we will continue to #honor the legacy of Lt. Col. William "Bill" Schroeder by dedicating the STTS annex building, formerly the 10th Combat Weather Squadron which was inactivated following his command, in his namesake. Future #SpecialTactics operators will be reminded of Schroeder's gallant devotion to country and duty as they walk through the doors each day. Schroeder, a Special Operations Weather Officer and commander of the 342nd Training Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, selflessly gave his life by instinctively placing himself between an armed individual and members of his squadron, allowing them to escape unharmed.
