#OTD 10 years ago, Staff Sgt. Timothy P. Davis, a #SpecialTactics combat controller with the 23rd STS, died near Bagram, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an IED. Davis was attached to a U.S. Army Special Forces team in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor for his actions on that deployment. Davis left behind a wife and 1-year-old son. This Friday when we kick off the #STMemorialMarch, we honor Tim and the other 19 fallen ST #AirCommandos. We started the traditional ruck march from #TXtoFL in honor of Tim in 2009, and since then, we have marched every time we have lost a brother in battle.
