#OTD in 2010, our #SpecialTactics community suffered it's second loss in a two-week span when SrA Mark Forester, a #combatcontroller with the 21st Special Tactics Squadron, paid the ultimate sacrifice for our nation after exposing himself to enemy machine gun and rocket-propelled grenade fire multiple times while embedded with his Special Forces team to coordinate A-10 and F-16 #PrecisionStrike munitions in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan. Forester's combined actions that day resulted in 37 insurgents killed and he was posthumously awarded the #SilverStarMedal. #NeverForget #HonortheFallen
