Prior to Saturday night’s match against Nashville, Atlanta United defender Miles Robinson dropped an unfortunate soundbyte saying, “the group as a whole knows we have better players than them and I think we just have to go out there and prove it.” It seems Nashville used those words as fuel, dismantling Atlanta 4-2 at home and leapfrogging them in the Eastern Conference standings. It was a bleak night for Atlanta as they simply had no answers for an inspired Nashville side that took advantage of their opportunities en route to their first ever multi-goal game in MLS.
