🔑 6 CMJ Phases 👇👇👇
⠀
Phase 1 — 🤫Quiet Phase: Prior to the CMJ taking place, the athlete must stand “quietly” on the force plate for a minimum of 1-second before initiating movement.⠀
⠀
Phase 2 — 👇Unweighting Phase: The athlete has now begun the movement. Their centre of mass (COM) is falling with negative velocity towards the force plate.⠀
⠀
Phase 3 — 📈Braking Phase: This phase commences at the end of the unweighting phase. The athlete is still falling, but with ascending negative velocity.⠀
⠀
Phase 4 — 📉Propulsive Phase: The athlete has now reached maximum COM displacement or depth of the movement.⠀
⠀
Phase 5 — 🛫Flight Phase: The athlete leaves the force plate with the goal of attaining maximal COM displacement (ie jump height).⠀
⠀
Phase 6 — 🛬Landing Phase: This phase begins when the athlete first makes contact with the force plate after the flight phase.⠀
