In facing global challenges, Gold Award Girl Scouts use creativity and technology to find solutions. ✨💻 Himani earned her Gold Award with the creation of her nonprofit, “Save the Girl Child,” an organization dedicated to ending female gendercide and empowering girls through healthcare and education. Himani offered science and reading camps in her community for 150 immigrant girls in need. 🔬📚 When in-person meetings weren’t possible, Himani adjusted her curriculum to include virtual classes so the girls wouldn’t miss a beat. Himani’s efforts have made a BIG impact locally and globally. She has: 🌟 Partnered with refugee organizations, social workers, and Medicaid clinics to secure free healthcare for girls 🌟 Fundraised to set up five village schools in rural India. 🌟 Distributed 5,000 educational supply kits and 36,000 books to girls in the Delhi slum districts.
