We are pleased to host teachers from across Maryland for our annual week-long Summer Teacher Institute on the topic of “Slavery, Freedom, and Memory." So far this week, participants have heard from history scholars, visited Hampton National Historic Site and historic sites in Baltimore City, toured MCHC's Museum exhibitions, and conducted research in our Library. By the end of the week, they'll be equipped with new Maryland history material and resources and ideas for engaging their students in the coming year.
