#OnThisDay in 1795 Johns Hopkins was born. To honor his outstanding contributions to medicine and education, we suggest a trip back to 1891 with Dr. Lewellys F. Barker in an archive edition of “Maryland Historical Magazine” (issue 38.1, 1943), available to read in our bio.
Dr. Barker joined the Johns Hopkins Hospital in its infancy and relates lively tales of the first doctors who started the hospital on the road to current prominence in the world of medicine.
