As snow blankets parts of Maryland today, share your memories of winters past as part of our participatory exhibition, "Losing Winter." Learn more through the "Exhibitions" link in our bio.
Susan Law of Annapolis shared her memory, and it is included in the exhibition: “This photo is from the winter of 1957-58 in Anne Arundel County of my sisters and neighbors sledding on our farm. It was a very cold winter and our oil furnace broke... My mom made it a fun day though, hooking up our sleds to the back of the farm tractor. Taking us down the snow covered dirt farm road to the main road. No snow removal had happened on Fort Smallwood Road. She took us up the nearby hill on the main road for us to sled down on our own. I was about 9-years-old."
