We thank our partners with the Morgan State University’s School of Education and Urban Studies for visiting MCHC. Teachers in training in Dr. Thurman Bridges’ elementary social studies methods class spent two mornings at the Museum learning about incorporating local history and primary sources into classroom instruction. It was enlightening to hear their perspectives about student needs, inclusive narratives of history, and what cultural institutions can do for PK-12 teachers. This is the third semester that our education department has partnered with the Morgan State program.
