Happy 4th of July! As flags unfurl today to celebrate, we have an update on our own flags. Thanks to the many generous donors who gave to our flag conservation project during the Maryland Day of Giving this year, five flags in the collection have so far been vacuumed and conserved, with much more work to be done. Over the next year, 100 flags and banners will travel to the Fashion Archives and Museum of Shippensburg University for extensive conservation work.
