Elizabeth Verner was an artist living and working in Charleston, South Carolina in the 1920s and 30s. She is known for her depictions of the people, architecture, and environment of her home region, and images she produced of local flower sellers were among her best known works. She is considered one of the leaders of the Charleston Renaissance. Verner's works can be found in museums around the country including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian.
