As part of our ongoing campus redevelopment plan, we are happy to announce the sale of the historic Greyhound terminal adjacent to the Maryland Center for History and Culture's museum and library in Baltimore. The new owner, SquashWise youth program, will revitalize the building and use it to advance equity and opportunity in education and squash for Baltimore youth. The Greyhound terminal was constructed in 1941 for Pennsylvania Greyhound Lines on the corner of North Howard and Centre streets during the height of bus transportation growth. It served as a transportation hub from 1941 to 1987. MCHC acquired the building in 1999. The terminal was designed in the art moderne style by Louisville firm, Wischseyer, Arrasmith & Elswick—William Arrasmith was one of the leaders in bus terminal design.
