Charles T. Sisco and John Edward Sisco established Sisco Bros. and began manufacturing flags and banners by the 1870s. They made items for groups active in Maryland ranging from large unions like the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers to the Masons. This Sisco Bros. ballot box was manufactured in Baltimore and likely used by the Masons. You can find this box among the many consignment objects celebrating Maryland's history available in the Museum Store. Tap the link in our bio to view this item and more.
