Sapong flicked a header off a set piece for the opening goal, and Mihailovic added a second thanks to a long range effort that ricocheted off a D.C. United defender. Late in the first half, though, D.C. United pulled a goal back thanks to Ulises Segura. Titi Rodriguez managed to net a second goal for the Black-and-Red right before the stroke of halftime, but the goal was called back by VAR for an apparent handball. In the second half, D.C.
