Legacy.
After a gut-wrenching loss to FC Barcelona in the 2014-2015 Champions League Final, midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo made the jump from Juventus to New York City FC. The Italian legend played for NYCFC for three seasons until his retirement in 2017 at the age of 38. During his time in the States, Pirlo managed to score one goal and dish 18 assists. Despite lining up alongside the likes of David Villa and Frank Lampard, Pirlo was unable to accomplish much glory in the post season. However, his status as a World Cup Champion and overall legacy as one of the best midfielders to ever grace the pitch places his among the most notable European players to have played in MLS.
