I’m back in Austin for #TheRunningEvent and during this morning’s run on Town Lake, I had the chance to reflect on my time here. # My junior season was stolen by a piece of glass and so I was granted the opportunity to use my remaining eligibility at UT. When I think of that year, it’s bittersweet. I met tons of incredible friends that are still love. The city itself is exciting and lively. But my running, the reason I came here, was a series of disappointments. To no one’s fault but my own, things never clicked. I had some of the fastest runs and workouts of my life, but untimely injuries led to frustration. # I left sponsor-less and injured, but Gags still had a spot for me at njnytc. I worked at sneakerfactoryfp for a year and paid my way to Europe that summer—Ultimately running well enough to get the attention of hokaoneone.
